Fundraising Ideas For Teachers
If you want to help us keep this site in business, but cannot spare any money yourself,
look at some ideas of ways you can fundraise.
Inform the Parents
Without even needing to suggest that the parents pay, you can write a letter for your
students to take home, informing them that you are using HekkoEducation.com, and that
the donations we get are how we are able to keep our tools free for everyone to use.
Place a coin jar in the Teachers Lounge
From time to time, everyone has a spare dime, quarter, or briefcase of hundred dollar bills
that they don't know what to do with. If you place a jar in the lounge of your school and
transfer that money weekly or monthly, you would be amazed at how quickly it adds up. Or if
you are more the entrepreneur, you could get a box of candy bars at a place like Costco, you
could use that profit for your donation. Remember, every dollar helps us keep the site free.
Ask the PTA/Boosters
Many school district have active PTA and Academic Booster groups. If possible, consider approaching
one of these organizations, and explain how our site is working to save teachers money, as well as
how we rely on donations to stay in business. They may be willing to give a donation
to help support a good cause.
